Cobalt and Light Blue Oval Sand Blasted Oval Columbine Stained Glass Suncatcher
Colorado's state flower, the Columbine, is sand blasted into the glass. You can feel the texture on the front with slight indentations on the petals of the flowers, but the back is smooth. The edges of the oval are beveled for added shine. It is a beautiful elongated piece illuminating elegance.
Hanging size including chain is 15 inches by 6.5 inches wide
The glass is cobalt blue with a light blue milky glass alternating. All pieces are copper foiled with the entire outside sealed in lead with a patina finish to seal and preserve it. A heavy antique silver curb chain is attached to the top to hang it. Dave does a superb job making the soldering smooth and uniform and has over 35 years experience making stained glass. Because of the weight of the lead, which insures a lifetime of enjoyment over glass that is just just copper foiled, this will be too heavy to hang on a suction cup hook. It is recommended that you hang it by fish line on a cup hook in a wood framed window. Clean the glass with mild soap and water or Windex.
